Introducing the RAAZ Ministers Fellowship: Building Together for Greater Impact

by Silumesii Maboshe (Class of 2024)

Wednesday, 6 August 2025

On Thursday, 5 June 2025, something special happened at Church House on Cairo Road in Lusaka. For the first time, Rhema Zambia graduates in active ministry came together for a dedicated space of connection, encouragement, and strategic conversation.

This wasn’t a conference or a casual catch-up—it was the inaugural RAAZ Ministers Fellowship, a Spirit-led initiative for ministers trained at Rhema Bible Training Center Zambia, launched under the guidance of Pastor Gloria Kanene and the RAAZ Outreach and Ministerial Services (OMS) Team.

And what started as a seed of an idea is already proving to be a timely answer to prayer.

🔎 Why a Ministers Fellowship—And Why Now?

The journey of ministry is rewarding, but it can also be isolating and unpredictable. Many ministers wrestle with pressure, spiritual dryness, or even hidden pain—often with no safe space to process or receive support.

Recognizing this need, the OMS Team envisioned a space exclusively for Rhema Zambia graduates who are serving in ministry—whether in missions, pastoring, church planting, teaching, leading worship teams, or working bivocationally.

This fellowship is designed to be more than a moment—it’s a growing, Spirit-filled community where we:

  • Rekindle our shared identity as Rhema alumni
  • Encourage and support each other in ministry
  • Sharpen one another in prayer, doctrine, and service
  • Create a forum for honest dialogue and restoration

As one attendee said, “God does not want us to work in isolation.” This fellowship exists to ensure that we don’t.

👥 Who Was in the Room?

We were honored to receive ministry and insight from key leaders in the Rhema Zambia and RAAZ family:

One of the most impactful moments of the day was a private, closed-door Q&A session with Pastors Walker and Haley, where ministers asked heartfelt and often vulnerable questions about real challenges in ministry—leadership strain, burnout, transitions, and more. Their transparency and spiritual wisdom set a tone of safety, trust, and growth.

🧱 What Makes This Fellowship Different?

This is not just another pastors’ gathering. The RAAZ Ministers Fellowship is specifically for Rhema Zambia graduates, rooted in our shared training and spiritual DNA.

We live by faith. We preach the Word. We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit. We minister healing. We walk in the believer’s authority.

We are unified in the Word and the Spirit—what was described during the session as “two rails of the same train track.” We refuse to compromise one in favor of the other. And that conviction was clear in every conversation we had.

Here’s what this fellowship is offering:

  • A safe space to grow through honest conversation
  • Peer-to-peer connection and encouragement
  • Opportunities to hear from senior Rhema leaders
  • Long-term collaboration and equipping opportunities

🔭 What’s Next?

We’re just beginning—but we already see the outlines of something lasting:

  • Meet-ups for Rhema-trained ministers
  • Topical discussions on real-life ministry challenges
  • Times of prayer, worship, and spiritual refreshing
  • Mentorship and collaborative ministry projects

Most importantly, we want you—your story, your input, your vision—to shape what’s coming next.

As Pastor Gloria shared, this is meant to meet the real needs of ministers, not offer another formality. It’s about real relevance and shared strength.
