Lead Where You Are: RAAZ and GLS Lusaka partner for Kingdom impact

The Rhema Alumni Association of Zambia (RAAZ) is honored to announce a new partnership with the Global Leadership Summit (GLS) Lusaka as we prepare for the 2025 edition of this world-renowned event.
Earlier this month, RAAZ signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bishop Fortune Lubinda Mwiza, Chairperson of GLS Lusaka and faculty member of Rhema Bible Training Center Zambia (RBTCZ). This agreement marks a new chapter in collaborative Kingdom work—where alumni mobilization, leadership development, and event support come together to strengthen God’s people for influence in every sphere of society.
A Shared Vision for Leadership
The MoU captures the shared commitment of RAAZ and GLS Lusaka: to raise leaders who will impact churches, communities, and the marketplace with godly principles of leadership. For RAAZ, this aligns perfectly with our mandate to equip alumni for church planting, Bible school development, and the translation of faith materials. For GLS Lusaka, it means widening the circle—inviting leaders from across sectors to be sharpened, encouraged, and empowered.
This year’s GLS theme, “Lead Where You Are,” could not be more fitting. It’s a reminder that leadership is not reserved for CEOs or pastors alone; it belongs to every believer, every professional, every parent, every young person who chooses to influence others for the better.
Celebrating Consistency: Sarah Kamoto on the GLS Main Stage

We are especially delighted that RAAZ President, Sarah Kamoto, will once again take the stage at GLS Lusaka. Sarah has been one of the most consistent repeat speakers in the history of the Summit in Lusaka, carrying a unique voice that combines pastoral wisdom, alumni perspective, and a deep love for Zambia.
Her presence affirms not only the strength of RAAZ alumni but also the relevance of the GLS platform for leaders who are both global in outlook and local in impact. As Sarah often says, “Leadership is influence, and influence is stewardship.”
A Familiar Face with a New Role: Bishop Fortune Mwiza

Another voice to watch at this year’s Summit is Bishop Fortune Lubinda Mwiza, Chairperson of GLS Lusaka and respected faculty member at RBTCZ. His dual role—as a teacher of faith and a convener of leaders—embodies the partnership at the heart of this year’s Summit.
For alumni, this is a reminder that GLS is not something happening “out there.” It is connected to us, through our faculty, through our president, and now through our organizational commitment.
A Global Movement, Rooted in Zambia
The Global Leadership Summit is not new to Zambia. Hosted annually in Lusaka, GLS is part of a worldwide leadership movement that began in 1995 at Willow Creek Community Church in the United States. Convened by Craig Groeschel, pastor of Life.Church and a respected leadership thinker, GLS has grown into the largest leadership event of its kind.
Each year, the Global Leadership Network (GLN) brings together hundreds of thousands of leaders across 110+ countries and 55+ languages. It is a movement that now shapes leaders in the church, the marketplace, government, and civil society.
At its helm today is David Ashcraft, President of the GLN, whose stewardship ensures that GLS continues to equip leaders with biblical values, practical wisdom, and global relevance. Together, Craig Groeschel and David Ashcraft embody the heart of GLS: faithful leadership for Kingdom influence.
And this year, Lusaka joins again in that global story.
Why Attend GLS Lusaka?
GLS is not a pastors’ conference. It is not a business summit. It is both—and more. It is a leadership encounter for anyone who wants to grow, sharpen, and lead more effectively in their space of influence. Whether you are leading a church, a classroom, a company, or even your family, GLS offers timeless leadership principles that can be applied immediately.
For RAAZ alumni, it is also a chance to serve. As part of our partnership, RAAZ volunteers will support the event through ushering, moderating, technical assistance, and more. By serving leaders from across the nation, we live out our call to be a blessing to the Body of Christ and beyond.

Lead Where You Are
As RAAZ, we believe this partnership is more than an event. It is a Kingdom investment in leaders across Zambia. It is a chance to learn from global voices while also elevating the voices God has given us right here at home.
This year, the invitation is clear: Lead where you are. Whether in your congregation, in your business, in your classroom, or in your community, God has positioned you for influence. GLS Lusaka is here to equip you to do it well.
We look forward to seeing you at GLS Lusaka 2025.
