Attendees of the third RAAZ Ministers Fellowship

Sharing stories, strengthening faith: highlights from the third RAAZ Ministers Fellowship

by John Mundenge (Class of 2021)

Friday, 22 August 2025

On 9th August 2025, Rhema Zambia alumni in ministry gathered once again for the RAAZ Ministers Fellowship at Church House. The fellowship opened with prayer and worship, creating a welcoming atmosphere for reflection and encouragement.

Testimonies that inspire

A central part of the fellowship is giving space for ministers to share their stories — the challenges they have faced, the victories they have experienced, and the faith that sustains them.

  • Pastor Brian Chileshe encouraged ministers to be open in sharing their journeys, reminding everyone that testimonies can bring strength and perspective to others in ministry.
  • Bishop John Chibale spoke of his years of service as an Assistant Pastor, his decision to leave due to doctrinal shifts introduced by visiting clergy, and the painful season of losing his wife while planting a new church in Lusaka. His testimony reflected endurance, courage, and trust in God’s leading.
  • Pastor Martha Lumbama shared her unique experience as a woman entering ordained ministry after graduating from Rhema Zambia. Though she met resistance at first, she testified of relying on God’s strength and wisdom, offering encouragement to others walking through new or difficult seasons.

Each testimony reminded the fellowship that obstacles are real, but God’s faithfulness and grace remain constant.

Fellowship over a meal

After the time of sharing, ministers enjoyed lunch together, continuing conversations and building connections around the table. These unhurried moments of fellowship are becoming a meaningful part of the gatherings, allowing ministers to learn more about one another’s lives and ministries.

Building consistency, building together

The RAAZ Ministers Fellowship has now met three times and is steadily becoming a consistent space for alumni in ministry to connect. By praying together, sharing testimonies, and spending time in fellowship, alumni ministers are finding encouragement and renewed strength for the work God has entrusted to them.

As these gatherings continue, we look forward to seeing deeper relationships formed and greater impact made through the lives of Rhema Zambia graduates serving across the nation.
