On Saturday, 5 July 2025, Rhema Zambia alumni in ministry gathered once again at Church House in Lusaka for the second ever RAAZ Ministers Fellowship—a space created exclusively for graduates of Rhema Bible Training Center Zambia (RBTCZ) who are serving in ministry. This gathering continues to affirm the need for ongoing connection, care, and collaboration among ministers who share our common foundation.

Life beyond the pulpit

The meeting opened with warm remarks and a word of encouragement from Pastor Gloria Kanene, who leades the RAAZ Outreach and Ministerial Services (OMS) Team. She reminded those present of their high calling to be solutions in a hurting world. Pastor Ezra Mchinzi facilitated a light-hearted icebreaker—Life Beyond the Pulpit—where each participant shared about their lives outside church leadership. This added laughter and depth, reinforcing that ministers are more than their titles.

Tackling real ministry challenges together

Participants then broke into two groups to engage in heartfelt and strategic discussions around two key objectives:

  1. Ministerial welfare support – How can we care for each other practically and consistently during times of personal need?
  2. Church project and ministry collaboration – What can we do to foster long-term partnerships, share resources, and help each other’s ministry initiatives thrive?

Both groups shared honest reflections, identified challenges such as poor communication and limited financial support, and proposed solutions like:

  • Creating clear accountability structures
  • Pooling emergency funds and resources
  • Developing policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for how the fellowship supports its members
  • Including corporate sponsors and experienced alumni in building support systems

Action in motion

The discussions culminated in a plenary session where feedback from ministers helped refine ideas and challenged participants to think sustainably. The big takeaway? The fellowship is not just about meeting—it’s about mobilizing. Teams were tasked with transforming these ideas into draft policies and guidelines to be presented at the next meeting.
